Mascara needs to be replaced every 3 months, (2 for the thicker kinds) because bacteria will build up. I have so many different shades of lipstick and gloss and eye shadow that I actually never use them up! But, it really depends on how often you use them. They are good for 1-2 years. My skin care (Mary Kay) lasts me for 4 months so it is totally worth it! How long does makeup last? walgreens vs. the counter?

i can't wear makeup that will break out my skin.

theirs honestly lasts all day until you wash it off.
