If you want to work at the MAC store, like at the MAC makeup counter, Do you have to have any qualifications?

i want to apply but i'm not sure if you have to have any qualifications? If you want to work at the MAC store, like at the MAC makeup counter, Do you have to have any qualifications?
You have to be 18+. You don't have to have formal makeup training but you have to be good at applying it on other people. MAC hires makeup artists, not just sales people. Part of the interview process is a makeup demo where you will have to do a full face of makeup based on a photo or description in about 15 mins or less. You also have to be good at selling, experience in retail especially dealing with cosmetics will help. You don't necessarily have to know MAC products, they give you training, but you have to know different makep categories, terms, products, and what to use to create what looks- for example you'd have to know which methods and types of foundation apply sheer, medium, or full coverage, which give matte or dewey finishes, etc.If you want to work at the MAC store, like at the MAC makeup counter, Do you have to have any qualifications?
I don't think you need any, but you probably stand a better chance if you did a beauty therapy or make up course. I'd apply anyway, they might give you inhouse training or pay for you to do a course at night class.
Well duh you have to. First of all you would have to be a certain age. And second you have to know how to do makeup extremely well. I'm sure theres a lot more but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
no not really.
